Camp-in-a-Kit
A week-long, 5 day program where campers can learn at their own pace. We're dedicated to making sewing FUN and easy to learn for kids (and adults)!
Learn to sew (together) this summer! This full beginner sewing course includes their very first sewing kit, all woven into a step-by-step magical story. This camp in a kit is designed for busy families craving a summer of hands-on creativity and connection.
No experience is needed.
Parents, guardians, grandparents — your only job is to encourage and connect, like only you can do. You may also learn a thing or two!
Children who engage in arts activities experience an increase in self-esteem.1
Whereas studies show that children who repeatedly engage with social media sites experience a decrease in self-esteem.2

First Sewing Camp-in-a-Kit
5 days of sewing education tailored for a younger audience so that the campers and their adults can understand and execute with no prior experience needed. We work on creative challenges, design thinking, and sewing foundations through fun projects and prompts that will open kids up to a new form of art and a lifelong skill.

Moving up from the foothills to the highest ranges of Machine Mountain, you'll gain a strong foundation in machine sewing techniques. Throughout the week, we will focus on different tools, techniques, and sewing styles so that your camper will walk away with a sash full of badges and a new skill set, including:

Learn about different thread types, why they matter, and when to use each kind of thread.

Learn about why buttons are so important and how to attach them to your project.
